Compass Extends Leadership Position, The Real Brokerage Doubles Sales Volume to Make Huge Jump in 2025 Mega 1000
Side and Peerage Realty Partners land among US’s top 10 largest brokerages in T3 Sixty’s annual ranking
APRIL 2, 2025 – LADERA RANCH, Calif. – The real estate industry is undergoing a seismic shift, with a few powerful players consolidating and new contenders charging into the top ranks. A preview of T3 Sixty’s 2025 Mega 1000 and the full enterprise rankings, part of the 12th annual Real Estate Almanac, reveal a landscape marked by aggressive growth and strategic acquisitions.
Compass Leads With 25% Growth
Compass continues its reign as the No. 1 brokerage by sales volume, widening its lead over Anywhere Advisors with a commanding 23.7% advantage, a leap from the previous year’s narrower 4.7% gap. This meteoric rise is driven by significant organic growth and the acquisition of At World Properties, which includes @properties Christie’s International Real Estate. The company grew sales volume by 25.3% from 2023 to 2024.
The Real Brokerage Doubles Sales Volume, Leaps Five Spots
The Real Brokerage has emerged as the disruptor to watch, rocketing from No. 10 to No. 5 after doubling its year-over-year sales volume, an increase of more than 100% from 2023 to 2024. Its unconventional, agent-focused model is breaking down barriers and gaining traction in a landscape traditionally controlled by legacy players.
Mega 1000 Fast-Risers: Peerage and Side
This year’s Mega 1000 brokerage rankings feature two relatively newer brokerages in Side, which launched in 2017, and Peerage Realty Partners, which entered the United States in 2019, at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively. Side is recognized as a brokerage due to its role as the broker of record for its partner brands and Peerage Realty Partners has controlling interests in multiple brokerage partners.
“The Mega 1000 isn’t just a list; it’s a map of an industry in motion,” said Jack Miller, president and CEO of T3 Sixty. “These rankings reveal the fierce competition and bold strategies reshaping the top echelons of residential real estate.”

The Real Estate Almanac also ranks the industry’s largest enterprises, franchise brands and franchisees by U.S. 2024 sales volume.
Anywhere Real Estate Wins All Enterprise Metrics
Anywhere Real Estate remained the clear No. 1 real estate enterprise, thanks to its large national brokerage, Anywhere Advisors, and its group of large, recognized franchise brands, including Coldwell Banker, Sotheby’s International Real Estate and Century 21 Real Estate. Keller Williams Realty maintained its position at No. 2. Compass and HomeServices of America moved from No. 5 to No. 4 and from No. 4 to No. 3, respectively.
The 20 largest enterprises by sales volume grew by 11.5% from 2023 to 2024, outpacing the national market by nearly 3X. This includes the production of company-owned and franchised offices.
Christie’s International Debuts as the No. 7 Franchise Brand
The franchise brand ranking has a notable new presence with the addition of Christie’s International Real Estate, the brand Compass acquired as part of its purchase of the large At World Properties holding company in early 2025. Christie’s transitioned from a luxury real estate network to a formal franchise brand in 2021 and has achieved staggering growth since then. It debuts on the Franchise 20 at No. 7.
Sotheby’s International Realty, owned and operated by Anywhere Real Estate, saw the largest year-over-year sales volume growth among the US’s largest franchise brands. Keller Williams Realty maintained its position at No. 1.
Re/Max Gold Nation Takes Top Franchisee Spot 4 Years in a Row
Re/Max Gold Nation, a steadily growing conglomeration of Re/Max affiliates, remains the US’s largest franchisee with more than $13.1 billion in 2024 U.S. sales volume. It has held the top slot since T3 Sixty began ranking franchisees in 2022. Majestic Realty Collective, a collection of Sotheby’s International Realty firms, maintained its ranking at No. 2, while achieving 11.1% year-over-year sales volume growth.
“These rankings go beyond the numbers, they provide a roadmap for understanding the strategic shifts shaping the future of real estate,” said Paul Hagey, editor-in-chief of the Real Estate Almanac. “Whether it’s consolidation or the emergence of innovative models, the trends we’re seeing of consolidation among the US’s largest real estate companies today will shape the industry’s future.”
